Hello Cousins,

Think Spring and warmth, sunshine and flowers.  Our English family cousins have had
tremendous amounts of snow and ice in Lancashire and all over the United Kingdom during the
Christmas and New Years seasons.  Thank goodness for the telephone as I try to keep in touch
with a number of our relatives in England and Wales.

The photograph in this newsletter shows arches in the cellars beneath the Dunkenhalgh,
Lancashire, England.  The original building dates back to 1285 A.D. and in the sixteenth and
seventeenth centuries it was the home of our Walmsley cousins.  Margaret Livesey of Hacking
Hall married Thomas Walmsley in 1536 or 1537.  They were the parents of Sir Thomas
Walmsley, also known as Judge Walmsley of the Dunkenhalgh.  Queen Elizabeth II visited the
Dunkenhalgh when it was still a private home.  Quite a wonderful history resides inside the
house and grounds.

Thank you to our cousin, Ralph Sweeney for the photograph, which he took in May 2009 when
visiting Lancashire with his wife, Alice and his sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Bob
Miserentino.

Pat Livesey Humphreys has moved and asked to have her new address printed: Apt 328,
13270, 105 A. Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada V3T 2A4.  Telephone: 1-604-585-7888

It will be wonderful to be together in Fort Wayne, Indiana for our family reunion.  The dates are
July 29, 30 and 31st, 2010 and returning home on August 1st   We will be staying at the Hilton
Hotel, 1020 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802.  Telephone: 1-260-420-1100.
The rate is $114.00 per night
(includes breakfast) and parking is $7.00.  Please mention the
Livesay Historical Society in order to receive this special rate.

The Hilton is two long blocks from the Allen County Public Library where all of the LHS
Livesay/sey family records are stored.  This is your golden opportunity to do research on your
branch of the family.  The Allen County Genealogy Department is one of the largest in the
United States.

Cousins Joan and David Livesey of Hamilton, New Zealand wish to be remembered to the
American and Canadian cousins they have met during their several visits to the LHS meetings.

All good, happy and healthy wishes to all our family worldwide.

Peace and love,

Johanna Livesay, P.O. Box 260004, Bellerose, NY 11426

Feniscowles Old Hall, Lancashire, England was put up for sale in January.  The house dates
from 1404 A.D. and was the home of John and Alice Marsden Livesay whose son, Thomas
Livesay (A1), born in 1730, came to the American Colonies with his wife, Margaret Stones
Livesay and four oldest children about 1758.  It is a beautiful and much loved home.
